Adding Images Into Your
Spreadsheet
You can add an image to your spreadsheet one of several
ways.
- If you create your image in AutoCAD, you can use the
"copy" command in the "edit menu". You may find it useful to resize the
image window to include just what you want to copy before you actually execute
the copy command. Executing the copy command puts the copy on the system
clipboard. From there you can use the paste command in Excel to past the
image into your file.
Once you select the copy command, you then select all
the drawing items that you want copied to the clipboard then complete the
action by pressing the "Enter" key.
- If your image is a
file
on disk (JPEG or other image format), you can use Excels "Insert" menu,
selecting the "Picture" command.
Once the image is in the file, you can resize it by
selecting the image then drag the pick boxes that appear around the image.
