Section 10.3 Shear Strength Last Revised: 11/04/2014 Since the concrete does not contribute to the shear strength of the composite beam, SCM I3.1b states that "The available shear strength ... shall be determined based upon the properties of the steel section alone in accordance with Chapter G." The computation of shear strength was discussed in this text in section 8.3.2. |
